Interesting... XD

Orchestral MWaMG, eh? Not bad, interesting of instruments. Just please remember that timpanists don't roll every note they play (I am a timpanist XD).

Keep it up, man! XD

dbz-dude responds:

Ok ill lower the volume on it next time.Btw can you post your stuff up on the forum. That way i wont be doing stuff which youve already mastered.

Ack... so damn good...

Again, putting my works to shame, Winterwind. Casanets on one, with piccatzo strings on two and three with a tambourine? And, as many users have said, I'm sure, well done with the oboe. It's one onf my favourite melodic woodwind instruments, and you have used it brilliantly.
Well done again, Winterwind.

Winterwind-NS responds:

hey thanks
wow 8 reviews in one day, i so happeh
the oboe is also one of my favorite woodwinds

Well done.

I saw your post on ZREO. Not bad, for something that was effectively played in realtime. It has been said several times, but I will say again that your timing could have used work. I'm just curious, but what Reason banks did you use?
As again, very well done.

The-MickMad responds:

i've used the Reason Factory Sound Bank, the Strings Bank and the Orkester Sound Bank, plus a sound from the Flatpack 2 Promo called Universal...ps actually I'm not a piano player but a guitarist, so stay in tune 'cause I'm going to remake OoT's main screen theme in a jazzy way, to experiment a little bit with new sounds (for me at least)...thanks for the nice comments!

I like. Very Much.

As always, MaetroRage, radiating brilliance. Discounting the incredible work on strings, I particularly liked the percussion, a section, while accounted for in Garritan, still somewhat lacking. Very epic and job well done.

And it loops! XD

MaestroRage responds:

Indeed, Garriton does lack percussion in my opinion. However it's solo string sections are incredible. I find that most of Garritan and it's products are really good with solo instrument expression. I don't know if you've heard their product Garritan's Stradivari, but it's a solo instrument VST, of just one violin, and it rules.

I'm glad you liked the percussion, it was the most difficult part to carry out, as it's the biggest part of the song itself :D.

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

I love this.

This is brilliant. I love the use of the choir over the top. What software do you use?

Bosa responds:

I use Sibelius 5 to write the scores. Then, I use 3 VST's to play the music. I use Edirol HQ Orchestral, Garritan Personal Orchestra, and Halion Symphonic Orchestra. I also use various soundfonts for choirs and such.

Thanks for the review,
Bosa

Damn it...

I swear you're on par with even Winterwind-NS here. If only I could do choirs like you...

MaestroRage responds:

I appreciate the compliment Beacon, to compare me and WinterWind is however somewhat difficult. Winter is a very romantic era advocate, whilst I just love teh epic beats :D!

He makes some very excellent music, so just the comparison brings a smile to my face.

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it ^^.

Holy...

...crap.

This...is...so...gottverdamned...good.

You just got yourself a fan.

Long live MaestroRage!

MaestroRage responds:

Thank you, thank you :). This piece in particular could use some equalizing, but I don't have the ability to open old projects. Something just snaps and breaks when I do.

I'm glad you liked the piece, thank you for the review ^^.

Wow...

I like V. much. Brilliant use of choir. What software do you use?

MaestroRage responds:

The choir sounds you are hearing here is called East West Symphonic Choirs. it's bloody brilliant. I would have to say Voices of the Apocalypse was also a brilliant one, but sadly it seems they have discontinued it... that really tore me apart since I had just gathered enough money to buy it.

Oh well, i'm glad you liked the piece Beacon ^^. Thank you for the review.

Goddammit..

...so damn good! This goes my iPod now!

MaestroRage responds:

Thank you Beacon, glad you liked it ^^. Thank you again for the review.

Damn it...

...so...bloody...good...
Better than my works anyway. I love the glockenspiel ostinato on top, it really adds to the piece. I'm just interested to know what software you use, particularly for the choir. 'Coz I NEED choirs (the one thing Garritan overlooked...)

A brilliant piece, MaestroRage. Tout à fait bon!

MaestroRage responds:

I would disagree Beacon. Your works hold a flavor and quality to them that my work lacks, which was one of the bigger reasons why I liked your works the way I did. These pieces are somewhat older, so the choirs I used are actually around. For example.

http://www.sf2midi.com/index.php?page=sdet&id=5963

Is the bulk choir in the earlier pieces. You have to sign up to get it, but that site has a LOT of great soundfonts. It will be worth your while.

And I also used PlugSound CD 6 Ah Choir

and an awesome solo soundfont that you can get, which is better then a lot of the paid stuff is here

http://www.papelmedia.de/sf2/sf2/Papelmedia_Irina_Brochin.sf2

her low notes are a little flat, but with some good reverb, and if you stick to the high notes she hits, that soundfont is win!

Hope that helps Beacon! The software I use is Fruity Studio's 6, but I use East West instruments for most of what you hear on these pieces.

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

Manipulates strings for a living. Perennial lurker, dilettante and locquacist. Probably won't set your kids on fire. He/him center-left soc-dem-ish idealist idk
